The Catholic Military Apostolate of the United States (CMA-US) operates as a lay apostolate under the pastoral leadership of the Archdiocese for the Military Services, USA (AMS). As such, CMA-US maintains a close affiliation and collaborative relationship with the Archbishop and his staff, working to support Catholic military personnel and their families within the United States Armed Forces.

The AMS is responsible for providing pastoral care and spiritual support to Catholic service members, their families, and veterans of the U.S. Armed Forces and Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Centers. CMA-US aligns with the mission and directives of the AMS, supporting its efforts to promote the Catholic faith and serve the spiritual needs of military personnel.

CMA-US works closely with AMS chaplains, missionaries, and other personnel to enhance the spiritual well-being of Catholic service members. We collaborate on initiatives such as promoting sacramental life, providing catechesis and religious education, organizing spiritual retreats and events, and offering pastoral support to military families.

Additionally, while CMA-US operates independently as a lay apostolate, our affiliation with the AMS underscores our commitment to the teachings and authority of the Catholic Church. We ardently uphold the values and principles of the AMS, contributing to the broader mission of spreading the Gospel and fostering a vibrant Catholic presence within the military community.
