About Us
What is CMA-US?
CMA-US is a Lay Apostolate of Missionary Disciples within the AMS that serves to…
Promote Catholic culture within the ranks of the U.S. Military.
Assist service members and their families in the sanctification of military life.
Provide a strong, active, and stable Catholic lay community at every military installation in the U.S.
Strengthen the military Catholic community through prayer, service, action, and fellowship.
Support Catholic chaplains and on-base communities at the local and national levels.
Cater to the unique spiritual and social needs of Catholic uniformed service members.
Our Chapter Model
CMA-US is organized on a chapter-based model within the AMS & DoD
Local Chapters are the core of CMA-US and are autonomous in their function. The National Board makes strategic decisions, administers the Apostolate, and supports the Local Chapters.
This structure allows…
Self-governance of each chapter.
Spiritual and social needs of each local chapter can be met appropriately.
Flexible and tailored to support each installation's Catholic chaplain.
Formation of unique chapter identities.
